Nilfisk ATTIX 33-2H PC H-Class Hazardous Dust Vacuum Cleaner
The Nilfisk ATTIX 33-2H PC is a specialiSed H-class dust extractor designed for the most demanding and dangerous cleaning tasks. While M-class machines handle standard construction dust, the ATTIX 33-2H is engineered specifically to manage high-hazard dusts, including asbestos, lead, and carcinogenic particulates. With its dual-stage HEPA filtration (capturing 99.995% of particles) and rigorous safety certification, this machine provides the clinical-grade protection required to keep operators safe and sites compliant with the latest HSE H-class regulations.
Available in 240 Volt and 110 Volt options. Please select your required operating voltage.
ATTIX 33-2H - Unmatched Filtration & H-Class Compliance
Ensure total regulatory compliance on-site with certified H-Class hazardous dust extraction and safety standards.
Worker health is the top priority when dealing with hazardous materials and toxic dust. The ATTIX 33-2H delivers peace of mind through industry-leading safety engineering:
- H-Class Hazardous Dust Certification: Fully certified to H-Class standards, capturing 99.995% of hazardous particles—the legal requirement for asbestos remediation.
- Dual-Stage HEPA Filtration: Equipped with a high-performance HEPA H13/H14 main filter alongside a washable PTFE long-life filter to trap microscopic fibres.
- Sealed Safety System: An airtight design ensures that dangerous particulates are not exhausted back into the atmosphere during operation.
- Flow Sensor Monitoring: A sensitive acoustic and LED warning system alerts the operator immediately if airflow drops below safe levels.
⚠️ Safety Recommendation: Asbestos Handling
If you are working with a large volume of asbestos or handling it as your primary material, we strongly recommend using specialised safety bags.
For high-risk remediation, the Nilfisk 107413549 ATTIX Safety Filter Bag 5 Pack is essential. These bags feature a dual-layer containment system and a secure sealing cap, ensuring hazardous fibres are trapped permanently during extraction and waste disposal.
Unless you are using the vacuum specifically for wet and dry extraction (which requires the removal of the bag), we always recommend using genuine Nilfisk 107419593 ATTIX 33/44 Fleece Filter Bags for all other cleaning tasks. These high-quality fleece bags are engineered for superior filtration and maximum motor protection, ensuring your vacuum maintains peak performance during standard operation.
Intelligent Maintenance & Constant Suction
Maximise uptime and minimise hazardous exposure with semi-automatic filter cleaning and non-stick PTFE membrane technology.
Maintain peak performance and minimise exposure risks with advanced filter management and dust containment:
- Push&Clean™ Semi-Automatic System: Allows for rapid, manual filter cleaning at the press of a button, maintaining airflow without opening the machine.
- Washable PTFE Long-Life Filter: A non-stick membrane built to last, significantly reducing maintenance costs while maintaining 99.9% efficiency.
- Hygienic Safety Filter Bags: Optimised for use with dual-layer safety bags that seal completely for 100% dust-free disposal of toxic waste.
Powerful Performance & Power Tool Integration
Boost productivity with high-torque suction and integrated power take-off (PTO) for seamless dust extraction at the source.
The ATTIX 33-2H is a high-performance industrial tool designed for seamless integration with power tools:
- Powerful Motor Options: Choose between a robust 1400 Watt motor (240-volt option) or an efficient 1200 Watt motor (110-volt option).
- Integrated Power Take-Off (PTO): Connect your power tools directly to the vacuum. The unit features a 1200W (3-pin UK plug socket) power take-off limit for 240V models and a 1000W (110v plug socket) limit for 110V models, activating the vacuum automatically when you power up your tool.
- Anti-Static Engineering: Optimised internal pathways and anti-static hoses prevent static build-up when extracting fine powders and dry particulates.
Durable Design & Site Mobility
Built for the "rough and tumble" of construction sites, featuring a robust 30L steel-castor container and heavy-duty bumpers.
The ATTIX 33-2H is built for the rigours of remediation sites and manufacturing plants:
- Robust 30-Litre Container: Features heavy-duty castors and a protective bumper for resilience on uneven floors and warehouse terrain.
- Comprehensive H-Class Tool Kit: Supplied with a 4-metre anti-static hose and professional stainless steel tubes for edge-to-edge cleaning.
- MultiFit Accessory System: Compatible with the full range of Nilfisk industrial accessories, including optional trolley handles and toolbox storage.

Understanding H-Class Vacuum Cleaners: Safety & Compliance Explained
In industrial and specialist environments where dust is not just a nuisance but a life-threatening hazard—such as asbestos removal, lead abatement, or pharmaceutical manufacturing—even M-Class equipment is not enough. For the most dangerous airborne particles, H-Class vacuum cleaners are the only legally compliant and safe solution.
What is an H-Class Vacuum Cleaner?
H-Class (High-Hazard Class) is the highest international safety standard for professional dust extraction. While M-Class vacuums are designed for medium-risk dusts, H-Class machines are engineered to contain highly carcinogenic, pathogenic, and toxic materials.
A vacuum certified to H-Class standards is guaranteed to capture at least 99.995% of the dust it processes. These machines utilize HEPA H14 filtration (the highest grade) and are built with fully sealed chassis. Unlike standard vacuums, every H-Class unit is individually tested and certified to ensure no hazardous fibres can bypass the filter or leak through the casing.
Why Are H-Class Vacuums Important?
When dealing with "High-Hazard" materials, the margin for error is zero. Using H-Class equipment is a mandatory requirement for specialized sectors:
- Maximum Health Protection: H-Class vacuums are designed to trap microscopic particles like asbestos fibres and lead dust, which can cause terminal illnesses such as mesothelioma, lung cancer, and systemic poisoning.
- Legal Compliance (COSHH & HSE): In the UK, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and COSHH regulations mandate H-Class extraction for any material with a Workplace Exposure Limit (WEL) of less than 0.1 mg/m³. Failure to use certified equipment can lead to massive fines, site closures, and legal prosecution.
- Strict Containment & Disposal: H-Class vacuums feature "low-dust" or "dust-free" bag change systems. This ensures that when the vacuum is full, workers are not exposed to a "dust cloud" during disposal—a common failure point in lesser machines.
- Acoustic & Visual Safety Alarms: To comply with BS EN 60335-2-69, these machines include integrated sensors that trigger an audible alarm if the airflow drops below 20m/s, alerting the operator to a blockage or filter saturation immediately.
Materials Requiring H-Class Collection
H-Class vacuums are required for dusts contaminated with carcinogens, pathogens, or toxic substances where the exposure limit is extremely low.
| Material Type | Common Sources & Hazards |
| Asbestos | Licensed and non-licensed removal of lagging, floor tiles, and textured coatings. |
| Lead Dust | Stripping lead-based paints, renovation of heritage buildings, or firing range maintenance. |
| Silica (RCS) | High-intensity grinding or cutting of stone and concrete (where H-Class provides a higher safety margin than M-Class). |
| Carcinogenic Dusts | Processing of materials containing bitumen, tar, nickel, cobalt, copper, or cadmium. |
| Pathogenic Hazards | Mould spores, bacteria, germs, and pharmaceutical waste in lab or clinical settings. |
| Highly Toxic Finishes | Sanding of certain chemical-heavy coatings, resins, and formaldehyde-based materials. |
⚠️ Important Safety Note: H-Class Compliance
H-Class extraction is a life-safety requirement. Because exposure to toxic, carcinogenic, or pathogenic dusts (such as asbestos or respirable crystalline silica) can lead to fatal respiratory diseases, a formal COSHH Risk Assessment must be conducted to determine the correct filtration level for your specific materials.
Standard industrial vacuums are not sufficient for high-hazard environments. For official UK guidance on the selection and use of H-Class equipment, please refer to the HSE Usin a H-Class Vacuum Cleaner page.
