Professional Floor Polishing Machines & High-Speed Burnishers

High-Performance Equipment for Floor Buffing, Gloss Restoration & Maintenance

Achieve a showroom-quality finish with professional floor polishing machines from MK Floortec. With 40 years of expertise, we supply high-performance floor buffers and ultra-high-speed burnishers designed to restore and maintain the natural lustre of hard floor surfaces. Unlike standard scrubbers, these industrial floor polishers operate at elevated RPMs (up to 1500+ RPM) to generate the heat and friction necessary for a mirror-like "wet look" finish on marble, terrazzo, vinyl, and polished concrete.

As an authorized UK dealer, we stock leading brands including Numatic, Nilfisk, and Ghibli & Wirbel. Our collection ranges from versatile single-disc floor buffers for daily spray cleaning and scuff removal to heavy-duty floor burnishers for large-scale gloss restoration.

How Do Floor Polishing Machines Work?

Achieve professional floor polishing results in 3 simple steps

High RPM Floor Polisher

High-speed rotary floor polishing machines operate at optimal RPM to effectively buff and polish floor surfaces, creating friction that generates heat and shine.

Quality Floor Pads

Pair your floor polisher with premium-grade floor pads designed for your specific surface type. The right pad ensures optimal results and protects your floors.

High Shine Finish

The combination of high-speed rotation and quality pads creates a brilliant, professional-grade shine that enhances the appearance and longevity of your floor surface.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions: Floor Polishers & Burnishers

Find expert answers to common questions about our professional Floor Polisher and Floor Burnisher cleaning machine range.
  • While terms are often used interchangeably, the primary difference is speed and motion. A floor buffe ris a lower-speed machine (150–300 RPM) that moves in a side-to-side "swing" motion, ideal for cleaning and light polishing. A floor burnisher is a high-speed machine (1000–3000 RPM) that moves in a straight line, designed specifically to create a mirror-like, "wet-look" finish by generating heat and friction.

  • For a professional gloss finish, you should use a White or Tan polishing pad. On high-speed burnishers, specialist Natural Hair or Diamond pads are often used to enhance the "wet look" on stone and concrete. Always ensure your floor is completely clean before polishing; any grit trapped under a high-speed pad can act like sandpaper and damage your floor finish.

  • Spray buffing is a maintenance technique used to restore the shine of a floor that has become dull or scuffed. You lightly mist a specialist floor restorer chemical onto the surface and pass over it with a red or tan pad on a standard-speed machine. This process cleans and polishes simultaneously, extending the time between full floor strippings.
